We are the controller of your personal data. We respect your right to privacy and will only process personal information you provide to us in accordance with the applicable privacy laws.

Information collected when you use our service

  • Device information: We collect information from and about the device(s) you use to access our services, including

    • hardware and software information such as IP address, device ID and type, device -specific settings and characteristics, browser type, version and language, operating system, time zones, identifiers associated with cookies or other technologies that may uniquely identify your device or browser;
    • information on your wireless and mobile network connection, like your service provider and signal strength.
  • Usage Information: We collect information about your activity on our services, for instance how you use them (e.g., date and time you logged in, features you've been using, searches, referring webpage address).

  • Location (up to country level): We can identify the country you are located based on your IP address. Where we need to collect your precise location, we will request your consent.

  • To receive surveys: we will collect your year and month of birth, your gender, your postcode, your marital status, education, employment and income range.

  • Cash out details: including your PayPal ID, your PayPal address, your PayPal email, your cash out amount and date, your gift card cash out amount and date, your charity cash out amount and date.

We may collect some demographic data which may be special category data which is more sensitive. We will ask you to explicitly consent before we store any such data. You may withdraw your consent at any time, and we will delete any special category data that we hold. You may control these settings on your profile page or request us to do so.

If the personal information we hold about you is incorrect, please let us know.

You may decide not to provide your personal information to us. However, in that case, please note that we may not be able to fully provide you with all our services.

This website contains links to other websites operated by third parties. Please note that this privacy policy applies only to the personal information that we collect and we cannot be responsible for personal information that third parties may collect, store and use through their websites. Once you click on a link to a third party's website, including sponsored links provided in the Qmee window, that third party's collection, storage and use of your personal information is out of our control. Examples of Personal Data that can be collected by our Survey Partners

From time to time, our survey partners may run specific surveys that will collect personal data as part of the study. Before entering this data your should ensure the site has asked for your consent to collect and use this data with a clear description of what will be collected and how it will be used. Personal data should be retained only for such period as is appropriate for its intended and lawful use.

Our survey partners may ask to collect, use, store and transfer different kinds of personal data about you which we have grouped together as follows:

  • Full name, postal address, email and telephone number - Surveys may ask for contact details in order to mail a physical product for review and feedback in a follow up survey; to perform additional identity verification checks; or to directly contact you for follow ups related to the survey.
  • Videos of respondents - a video will be collected during a webcam study of the respondent performing an activity, answering questions or watching a video. Videos may be reviewed manually by the survey client, or using automated technology like facial coding to gauge reactions.
  • Cookie deployment - the survey partner may occasionally ask to drop a cookie on your internet browser so that you can be invited to specific surveys based on your activity online.

Webcam surveys are clearly identifiable and can be opted out of receiving, or taking part in, at any point.

Remember, you can choose to leave any survey that asks for personal data that you are not comfortable with providing.

The lawful basis for processing your data in these scenarios will be consent.

9. Payment processors

Qmee utilizes Hyperwallet payment services to deliver payments to you. Such payment services are subject to the Hyperwallet Terms of Service and the Hyperwallet Privacy Policy.

10. How do we send information outside of your country?

We use cloud based services for processing and storing your personal data. We currently use cloud based services based in the USA requiring an international transfer. When we send your personal information outside of your country, we have in place adequate safeguards to do so. This includes EU standard contract clauses approved by the European Commission or other suitable safeguard to permit personal information transfers from the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area to other countries.

You may request further information on the measures used for the international transfers.

11. What are your privacy rights?

In certain circumstances, you may exercise the rights available to you under the applicable data protection legislation as follows:

  • Right to access personal information held about you and to ask for copies of your personal information.
  • Right to request us to make any changes and rectify your personal information if you think it is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask for information to be completed if you think it is incomplete.
  • Right to ask for your personal information to be deleted.
  • Right to restriction of processing your personal information in certain circumstances.
  • Right to object to processing your personal information where the processing of your personal information is based on our legitimate interests. If we use your personal data for direct marketing, you can ask us to stop and we will comply with your request.
  • Right to object to and not be subject to a decision which is based solely on automated processing (including profiling) which may produce legal effects concerning you or could significantly affect you.
  • Right to data portability. You can ask us to transfer your personal information to you or to a third party you have chosen, your personal data in a structured, commonly used, machine- readable format. Please note that this right only applies in certain circumstances.
  • Right of withdrawal consent at any time with effect for the future. In each of our email communications, we provide you with a corresponding link to manage your preferences or unsubscribe. You can also contact us by email.
  • Right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory. The supervisory authority in the UK is the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) who may be contacted at https://ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/, however, we would appreciate the opportunity to handle your concerns before you approach the ICO, so we ask that you contact us first in this instance.
